shared. was founded by Tom Sibert to give growing businesses direct access to partner-level legal guidance and operational expertise in a flexible, practical way.

Tom brings more than two decades of partner-level legal and board-level operational experience to the businesses he works with. Clients work directly with Tom, gaining access to calm, commercially focused judgment on legal, governance, operational and strategic matters, without the overhead of a permanent senior hire or a traditional law firm.

Tom is a former corporate partner at K&L Gates, where he advised multinational clients on M&A, strategic partnerships, governance and complex commercial agreements. He was appointed partner in 2011 and recognised by Legal 500 as a ‘brilliant draftsman,’ noted for the quality and pragmatism of his advice.

Before founding shared., Tom was General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of Therium Capital Management, a global asset management business with over US$1bn raised from investors. During his time there, joining as General Counsel in 2016 and appointed COO in 2019, he built and led the legal, governance and operational function across multiple jurisdictions, supported £525m in institutional capital raises, including from a sovereign wealth fund, and helped grow total committed capital fourfold.

Tom is admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales and holds a current practising certificate.
